Carol Jean grew up in Detroit, Michigan
and currently resides in Oakland County.
She received her law degree from the
University of Detroit School of Law in
1991. While in law school, Ms. Jean was
active with the Moot Court Board, acting
as a coach for competing teams. She
later returned to the University to
judge moot court competitions for
first-year law students. Currently, Ms.
Jean is an integral part of the estate
planning team at Powers Chapman where
she has practiced since 2000. She
understands people can often feel
overwhelmed when trying to draft wills,
make power-of-attorney decisions, or
choosing guardians and conservators for
minor children and the disabled. Ms.
Jean personally guides each of her
clients through the estate planning
process to ensure a full understanding
of the important decisions being made.
